Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev said that due to fatigue he would not defend his title at the ATP 500 tournament in Rotterdam (Netherlands), according to the competition’s website.
The tournament will take place from February 12 to 18. In January, Medvedev reached the final of the Australian Open, where he lost to Italian Jannik Sinner.
— Unfortunately, I have to refuse to participate in the Rotterdam tournament. After an incredibly difficult and long tournament in Australia, my body and especially my right leg are not yet sufficiently recovered to play and defend the title. “I love playing in Rotterdam, I have a long history of participating in this tournament and I look forward to coming back in 2025,” Medvedev said.
