Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok lost in the first round of the doubles tournament WTA 500 V Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The Ukrainian performed in pairs with Anna Danilina from Kazakhstan. In the first round, their opponents were the second seeds Beatriz Haddad Maia and Luisa Stefani from Brazil.
Kichenok and Danilina confidently won the first set. In the second game, Nadezhda and Anna missed several opportunities to break and lost their serve in the 12th game. Tennis players from Brazil played more reliably in the super tiebreaker.
Earlier, Angelina Kalinina lost in the doubles tournament in Abu Dhabi. On Tuesday, two Ukrainians (Kalinina and Lesya Tsurenko) will compete in the singles competition in the UAE.
