Russian tennis player Elina Avanesian beat the German Tamaru Korpach in the first round of the WTA 250 tournament in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca.
Avanesyan defeated his opponent in straight sets and the athletes spent two hours on the court. In the second set, both tennis players lost their serve four times.
In the next round, Avanesyan’s opponent will be the winner of the duo Anastasia Sevastova (Latvia) – Cristina-Andrea Mitu (Romania).
