Marta defeated Caroline Dolehide from the USA, Lesya beat Zeynep Sonmez from Turkey
Ukrainian tennis players Marta Kostyuk And Lesya Tsurenko started the tournament with victories WTA 1000 in the capital of Qatar Doha.
Kostyuk beat Caroline Dolehide from the USA in two sets. In the first game, the Ukrainian took three of her opponent’s serves, losing one of her own. In the second set, there was an even fight on the court; Kostyuk was able to get the decisive point with a reception in the 12th game.
