Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavliuchenkova reached the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha.
In the opening match, Pavlyuchenkova defeated compatriot Daria Kasatkina, who received the 11th seed. The match lasted 1 hour 41 minutes and ended with a score of 6:2, 7:6 (7:2).
On Sunday Kasatkina reached the final of the tournament in Abu Dhabi, where she lost to the representative of Kazakhstan, Elena Rybakina. Previously, the Russian criticized the WTA for its busy match schedule.
In the next round, Pavlyuchenkova will face Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
