Alexander expects a similar reaction from other Russian tennis players
Former first racket of Ukraine Alexander Dolgopolov commented on the anti-war statements of the current first racket of Russia Daria Kasatkina.
“Thank you Daria for feeling our pain and talking about it. I hope your compatriots will not sit and silently watch you speak alone. Especially the male side,” Alexander wrote on Twitter.
Kasatkina stated that she wants the end of the war as soon as possible. The athlete stressed that every day she reads news about the war.
Dolgopolov announced his retirement in May 2021. The best indicator of the Ukrainian in the world ranking remains 13th place, where he climbed in January 2012.
