The former ITF ranking number one said he was not offered to play for another country.

Former number one in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking, Russian Yaroslav Demin, said no one had approached him about a possible change of sporting citizenship.

— I still have the same agent Ugo Calumbini from Italy. We are doing good work. There’s no wild card yet, maybe because I’m from Russia. I haven’t even thought about transferring yet, I play for Russia. They did not come to me or my agent with such proposals,” Demin told Championship.

Demin, 18, is studying at Rafael Nadal’s academy for the second season. In a duet with the British Henry Searle, the Russian tennis player reached the final of the 2023 Wimbledon junior tournament and, together with the Mexican Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez, he won the Roland Garros junior tournament last year.
