Svitolina will take part in the tournament in Dubai
First racket Ukraine Elina Svitolina commented on the upcoming event WTA 1000 in the UAE.
“There are more expectations from me now because people see how I can play, they see that I can win some titles and fight with the top players.”
“But it’s very important for me to work every day, in every training session. Just focus on the work I have to do and the main thing is to be healthy. When I’m healthy I can play well, I can go far in tournaments, so that’s a priority for me now.”
Elina injured her back at the Australian Open 2024. Due to injury, Elina ended her 1/8 final match with Linda Noskova early. Svitolina also missed the WTA 500 tournament in Linz, Austria.
In the latest edition of the WTA world rankings, Elina ranks 20th. Svitolina will take part in the upcoming WTA 1000 event in Dubai, where she will play with Angelina Kalinina.
