Kudermetova, seeded 13th, lost to Romanian representative Sorana Cirste with a score of 1:6, 4:6. The fight lasted an hour and a half.
Kirstea will play the 1/8 finals of the tournament with the winner of the confrontation between Arina Sabalenka (Belarus, second seed) and Donna Vekic (Croatia).
