The first racket of Ukraine continues to play in the main tennis tournament of the WTA 1000 series.
Elina Svitolina easily qualified for the 1/8 finals of the prestigious WTA 1000 series tennis tournament in Dubai.
In the second round, the first racket of Ukraine was opposed by the German Tatyana Maria, who, however, could not give a worthy resistance to our tennis player. Svitolina confidently defeated her opponent in two sets in 73 minutes.
Let’s remember that this is the sixth meeting between the tennis players, and the score in the series is even. In the 1/8th tournament, the Ukrainian will play the winner of the match between Iga Šwiętek and Sloane Stephens.
We would like to add that for Svitolina, the tournament in the UAE is the first after the Australian Open, where she retired early due to injury.
