Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev announced that he will participate in the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai (UAE).
Medvedev is the current winner of the competition. In last year’s final he defeated his compatriot Andrei Rublev – 6:2, 6:2.
— Hello, Dubai! I’m happy to be back,” Medvedev, fourth in the world rankings, wrote on social media.
Previously, Medvedev missed two consecutive tournaments: the Russian refused to participate in the competitions in Rotterdam and Doha in February. The tennis player explained his decision by fatigue after the Australian Open, where he reached the final and lost to Italian Jannik Sinner.
