Daria lost to Spaniard Romero Gormas in a fierce confrontation
Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur failed to make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament ITF 25 in Portuguese Porto.
Daria lost to the Spaniard Leira Romero Gormas in a fierce struggle. The two-set match lasted one hour and 49 minutes.
In the first game, the opponents exchanged break points, and with the score 5:4, Romero Gormas managed to convert a set point on someone else’s serve on her second attempt.
In the second set, also with the score 5:4, the Spanish tennis player served for the match, but Daria managed to move the game into the tiebreak phase. The firefight was an even fight. Snigur missed set point three times, after which her opponent was able to snatch victory in dramatic style – 11:9.
Let us remind you that earlier in the tournament the Ukrainian, seeded third, confidently beat the Czech Dominika Salkova.
Another representative of Ukraine, Katarina Zavatskaya, continues to participate in Porto. In the first round she defeated American Anna Rogers, and today she will fight Alexandra Eala from the Philippines.
