Athletistic/Tennis. Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) President Shamil Tarpishchev told Match TV that Daniil Medvedev was feeling well before the start of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai (UAE) and had no health problems.

Medvedev had already missed the last two tournaments: he withdrew from the Rotterdam and Doha competitions in February. The reason was fatigue after participating in the Australian Open, where he reached the final and lost to Italian Jannik Sinner.

— Daniil will perform at the tournament in the United Arab Emirates. He is physically well. His absence from the previous two tournaments is due to targeted work on his skills; he is aware of his weaknesses and strives to improve them. To reach the top, you have to constantly improve. Medvedev had no health problems,” Tarpishchev noted in an interview with Match TV.

Medvedev is the current champion of the Dubai tournament. A year ago, he defeated his compatriot Andrei Rublev in the final with a score of 6:2, 6:2.

The tournament will take place from February 26 to March 2.
