The organizers of the latest Grand Slam tournament have released a statement about the vaccination.

The US Open-2022 is in danger of being missed by tennis players who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. This is stated in the statement of the organizers of the tournament, published on the official website.

“According to the Grand Slam rulebook, all eligible players are automatically entered into the main draws of the Men’s and Women’s Singles tournaments according to their ranking 42 days before the first Monday of the competition.

The US Open does not require mandatory vaccination of participants, but will respect the US government’s position regarding the entry of unvaccinated foreigners into the country.

Remember that such restrictions apply to the first Grand Slam series tournament of the season – the Australian Open.

Then the current winner, Novak Djokovic, could not participate in the tournament. The Serbian athlete also risks missing the competition in the USA, where he reached the final last year.
