Athletistic/Tennis. Four-time Olympic biathlon champion Alexander Tikhonov believes Russian tennis players Andrei Rublev and Daria Kasatkina have done the right thing by voicing their opinion on the evolution of sports citizenship.

“Did Rublev and Kasatkina change their nationality? They just expressed their opinion. These tennis players regularly bring victories to Russia. It would be better to look at high officials who have changed, change and will change their nationality. In no case I condemn Rublev and Kasatkina. If in Russia there are no conditions for future growth, then what can we talk about?” Tikhonov said.

Earlier, Andrei Rublev and Daria Kasatkina admitted that in the future they may change sports citizenship. Andrei Rublev is currently taking part in the German Open, where he is playing in the 1/8 finals with Argentinian Francisco Cherundolo. The meeting began at 3:00 p.m. Moscow time. At the moment, the first set is underway, in which Rublev leads with the score 3:2.

Daria Kasatkina was eliminated from the German Open on July 17 in the 1/16 finals, losing to Czech tennis player Katerina Sinyakova.
