Athletistic / Tennis. Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas (12th racket in the world) reached the third round of the ATP-500 tournament in Acapulco (Mexico). Last night, the Greek beat the Italian Flavio Cobolli (world number 69) in two sets with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (8-6).
The tennis players spent exactly 2 hours on the court. During the match, Tsitsipas completed five serves, committed four double faults and converted two out of nine possible break points. At the end of the match, Cobolli had five aces, a double fault and a break on three break points.
Tsitsipas’ next opponent will be the ninth racket in the world, Australian Alex de Minaur. The Acapulco tennis tournament will end on March 2. Its endowment amounts to $2.2 million in 2024. The current winner of the competition is Alex de Minaur.
