The Ukrainian upsetly lost to the “neutral” tennis player Blinkova in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya lost to “neutral” opponent Anna Blinkova in the second round of the tournament WTA 500 in American San Diego.
The first set was as dramatic as possible for Dayana, the fifth seed of the tournament. At 4:1, she was close to a break, but missed a double chance. Then she lost her serve with the score 5:4. In the tiebreaker, the Ukrainian led 5:3, but Blinkova was more confident at the end of the draw – 8:6.
The second game was even less successful for Yastremskaya. She converted one break point, but lost three times on her serve.
Lesya Tsurenko was eliminated from the tournament in San Diego in the first round. But Marta Kostyuk, who made it to the 1/4 finals, continues to perform there.
