The match lasted 1 hour 33 minutes and ended with a score of 6:1, 2:6, 6:2 in favor of Pegula. The winner has two consecutive serves, two double faults and seven breaks out of ten break points. Blinkova had an ace during the match, made three errors on her serve and converted five out of eight possible break points.
In the semi-final of the San Diego tournament, Jessica Pegula will face the winner of the match between the Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
