Athletistic / Tennis. Russian tennis player Svetlana Kuznetsova shared her opinion on the scandal involving Andrei Rublev at the ATP-500 tournament in Dubai (UAE). The Russian was disqualified in the semi-final against Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.

Rublev was disqualified for insulting the linesman. At the same time, the Russian himself claimed that he did not insult the judge.

Subsequently, the ATP partially upheld Rublev’s appeal. He received the prize money and points he had earned for reaching the semi-finals of the tournament.

“Is it okay to yell at a lineman? No. Can a person make a mistake? Yes. Does Andrey need to control his emotions better? Yes. We are all human and we all have the right to make mistakes. In my opinion, the other guys often behave much worse. Apart from the spectators, for example. But how is a judge different from a spectator? Are spectators not not worthy of respect either?

Rublev spoke for the first time about his disqualification at the Dubai tournament

And one last question. Does the word “moron” deserve disqualification? I think so, of course not. Do not rush to judge anyone, Andrei understands everything himself and I am sure he will draw his own conclusions,” Kuznetsova wrote on her Telegram channel.
