Previously, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) decided to admit Russian athletes to the Paris Olympics as neutral participants. Each National Olympic Committee can receive up to 12 quotas (six for men and six for women): four athletes in each of the individual categories, two pairs in each of the doubles and one pair in the mixed category.
“Little by little, people are starting to wake up and realize the reality. The ITF’s decision to admit athletes to the Olympic Games is not surprising, because it is impossible to hide the country and its athletes talented. There seem to be reasonable voices within the ITF, Not everyone is against Russia,” Kamelzon noted.
“The ITF’s decision is pleasant and reasonable. It is important for the athletes, they can concentrate on the matches knowing that they have the support of fans from different countries,” added the coach.
