Alcaraz is the reigning tournament winner and this surface is probably his most favorable. However, at the moment, I feel like he is in search of his best form. Carlos did not reach the Masters final with Cincinnati in August 2023 and has not won a tournament since Wimbledon. And the fact that he twisted his ankle during a tournament in Rio de Janeiro in February certainly didn’t help him gain any momentum heading into Indian Wells.
In the long term, I don’t worry about Alcaraz, but now I consider two other players – Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic – as favorites for Indian Wells,” Roddick said according to Betway.
