Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev reached the third round of the Masters at Indian Wells.

The Russian, seeded fourth, beat Spaniard Robert Carballes Baena in the second round with a score of 6:2, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1 hour 27 minutes. In the second set, play was interrupted for several minutes due to lighting problems.
