The world’s first racket Novak Djokovic described his defeat against Italian Luca Nardi at the Masters Series tournament in Indian Wells (USA) as deserved.
On Tuesday, Djokovic lost to Nardi in the third round – 4:6, 6:3, 3:6, the Italian is ranked 123rd in the world rankings.
“He really had nothing to lose, so he played really well.” He deserved to win. I was more surprised by my level. My level was very, very low. These two things go hand in hand. He was having a great day and I was having a really bad day. The results for me are negative.
It’s part of the sport. You just have to accept it. You win tournaments and you lose tournaments. I hope I win a few more titles and keep moving forward,” Djokovic said according to the ATP press service.
In the next round of the tournament, Nardi will meet American Tommy Paul.
