Athletistic / Tennis. World tennis legend Novak Djokovic sensationally lost to Italian Luca Nardi (4:6, 6:3, 3:6) in the third round of the Masters in Indian Wales (California, USA).
For the first time in his career, the 36-year-old Serbian lost to such a poorly rated opponent during the Masters (ATP-1000 category) or Grand Slam (ATP-2000 category) tournaments. Before the start of the tournament, Nardi was ranked 123rd in the world rankings.
Note that Novak Djokovic won the Indian Wells tournament five times – in 2008, 2011 and three times in a row: 2014-2016. Note that Djokovic has not played in California since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent refusal to be vaccinated.
