Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev declared that he will try to win the Masters series tournament in Indian Wells (United States) for the first time.
Medvedev defeated Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round – 6:4, 6:4. The Russian has won every Masters on hard court, with the exception of the Indian Wells tournament.
— Every Masters I play, I want to win. I love playing at Indian Wells, so I want to try to win it at least once. Last year I was quite close to victory, but the final match itself… Playing the final is very close to success, as close as possible to the trophy. This year I have a chance and I will try to use it,” Medvedev said at a press conference.
The Russian’s next opponent at the Indian Wells tournament will be the Dane Holger Rune.
