Djokovic can still attend the Russia-Serbia match, negotiations with the tennis player have resumed

According to , negotiations have resumed with Novak Djokovic regarding the tennis player’s visit to a friendly match between the Russian and Serbian football teams in Moscow.

Earlier, reported that world number one Serbian Novak Djokovic received an invitation from the Russian Football Union (RFU) to attend the Russia-Serbia friendly match. Today, Sport Klub announced that Djokovic will not participate in the Masters tennis tournament in Miami. The tournament in the USA will take place from March 20 to 31. The reasons for the absence of the star tennis player are not specified.

A Serbian source told that negotiations had resumed with Djokovic’s representatives regarding the Russians and Serbs coming to Moscow for a friendly match. The match will take place on March 21 at the Dynamo Stadium.

Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) President Shamil Tarpishchev told that Djokovic did not refuse to attend, but it would not be easy for him to come because of the schedule. The Serbian tennis player is now exempt from participating in tournaments and can fly to Moscow.

The channel will broadcast live friendly matches of the Russian national football team with the teams of Serbia and Paraguay. The meeting with Serbia will take place on March 21, and with Paraguay on March 25. The matches will be played at the Dynamo Stadium named after Lev Yashin.
