Over 400,000 euros were raised to help Ukraine at a charity match involving Stakhovsky, Sventek and Radwańska

In Krakow, Tauron Arena hosted a charity match in support of Ukraine and Ukrainians affected by the war.

Players from Ukraine and Poland took part in the team duel – Sergei Stakhovsky, Martin Pavelski, Iga Schwentek and Agnieszka Radwańska. The winner of the charity meeting was the couple Sventek and Pavelski.

The first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina, who suspended her career due to pregnancy, acted as a judge. The special guest of the match was the ex-head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andrey Shevchenko.

The charity match helped raise 2 million zlotys (about 422 thousand euros) to help Ukraine. All proceeds will be donated to the UNITED 24 platform, the Elina Svitolina Foundation, and UNICEF Polska to support children and adolescents who have been affected by the war.

Ukraine is opposing a full-scale Russian invasion for the 150th day.
