Athletistic/Tennis. Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz will soon rise to fifth place in the updated Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings and become the youngest athlete in the top 5 after his compatriot Rafael Nadal.
Alcaraz will take 5th place thanks to its lead in the German Open final in Hamburg. It doesn’t matter if Carlos beats his rival in the final – the Italian Lorenzo Musetti – or concedes to him, he will always oust the Norwegian Kasper Ruud from the top five of the best tennis players in the world.
Alcaraz will enter the top 5 at the age of 19 years and 2 months. Previously, the youngest tennis player among the top five in the ATP rankings was Carlos’ compatriot, Rafael Nadal: in 2005, Rafa became one of the top five tennis players in the world at the age of 18 and 11 month.
Carlos Alcaraz and Lorenzo Musetti will play in the German Open final on July 24. The meeting starts at 4:00 p.m. Moscow time.
