Athletistic / Tennis. Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev commented on the comical story that occurred during the 1/4 finals of the Masters in Indian Wells (USA), during which the German Alexander Zverev and the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz met. The match was ended prematurely as a swarm of bees flew onto the field.

One of the bees even stung Alcaraz on the forehead. Despite the difficulties, the Spaniard won and reached the semi-finals.

Alcaraz called the match with Zverev, interrupted by bees, the most unusual of his career

“To be honest, I’m a little afraid of insects myself. When a bee passes by, everyone tries not to move. As a rule, bees don’t sting. I usually sit quietly for about five seconds, then I shoo the bee away.” But if I were Zverev and Alcaraz, I would probably run off the field. It’s a crazy situation. I don’t think this has ever happened in tennis,” the Russian said at a press conference.
