Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev was beaten by the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the Masters Series tournament in Indian Wells (USA).
The match ended with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1 in favor of Alcaraz, who received the second seed. Medvedev was seeded fourth. The fight lasted 1 hour 44 minutes.
The Spaniard defended his title in Indian Wells and in the final match of the tournament last year his opponent was also Medvedev. Alcaraz, 20, won the fourth of six matches against the Russian.
Alcaraz won the fifth Masters of his career, only his compatriot Rafael Nadal (9) is ahead of him in the number of victories in tournaments in this category among under-21s.
In total, Alcaraz has won 13 titles in ATP singles tournaments, while Medvedev, 28, has won 20.
