Kafelnikov expressed the opinion that Alcaraz is a slight favorite for the final.
“Carlos won this tournament last year, confidently beating Medvedev in the final. This suggests that the hard surface of this tournament is very suitable for Alcaraz,” the tennis player said, as quoted by RB Sport.
