Russian tennis player Daniel Medvedev suggested he didn’t have enough family support during Indian Wells tournament final against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz .
The match ended with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1 in favor of Alcaraz. The Spaniard beat the Russian in the final of last year’s tournament.
— I would like to congratulate Carlos and his team. I hope one day you will let me play a little better in Indian Wells or maybe we won’t meet in the final. So far it doesn’t work.
My wife and daughter were on the plane during the game. So maybe they did not charge me with their strength and energy because they were in the air,” Medvedev quotes on social media.
The Russian retained fourth place in the updated ATP rankings.
