Alexey lost to the Czech Foreytek in three sets
Ukrainian tennis player Alexey Krutykh failed to overcome the barrier of the 1/16 finals of the tournament ATP Challenger 75 in Zadar (Croatia).
The Ukrainian, who made it into the main draw through qualification, lost to the representative of the Czech Republic, Jonas Foreytek, in the first round match. The fight lasted more than two and a half hours.
In the first game, the Czech did not leave much chance for Alexey – 6:1. The next set was dramatic and the longest. Krutykh led 4:1, then allowed the opponent to equalize, but still snatched victory on someone else’s serve – 7:5.
Foreitek had more strength left for the third set. He took Alexey’s first two serves, then saved break points three times in the fourth game. The Ukrainian returned to the game, fought back from two match points with the score 1:5, but still fought back to his opponent in the next play.
Let us remind you that earlier at the same tournament Eric Vanshelboim was unable to overcome the qualification barrier.
