Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok lost in the first round of the doubles tournament WTA 1000 V Miami.
Nadezhda performed in pairs with Wu Fansen from Taiwan. The duo met Japanese Shuko Aoyama and Serbian Alexandra Krunic in the first round.
Kichenok and Wu Fansen led with a break in the first game, but lost. In the second set, the Ukrainian duet turned out to be stronger. Aoyama and Krunic managed to snatch victory in a super tiebreaker.
Three more Ukrainians will play in the doubles tournament in Miami. Lyudmila Kichenok together with Elena Ostapenko from Latvia will play with Marie Bouzkova from the Czech Republic and Sara Sorribes Tormo from Spain in the first round. Angelina Kalinina and Dayana Yastremskaya will meet with Americans Caroline Dolehide and Desiree Krawczyk.
