In the second round, the representative of Kazakhstan defeated Denmark’s Clara Tauson with a score of 3:6, 7:5, 6:4. The duration of the match was 2 hours 26 minutes. Rybakina had five aces, two double faults and 5 successful break points out of 12 possible. Towson had two aces, committed seven double faults and converted five out of ten break points.

In the next round, Rybakina will meet American Taylor Townsend, ranked 72nd in the world rankings. The match is scheduled for March 23.

Last year, Rybakina reached the final, where she lost to Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic with a score of 6:7, 2:6.
