Athletistic / Tennis. The fourth racket in the world, Russian Elena Rybakina, who has been playing for Kazakhstan since 2018, reached the semi-finals of the WTA-1000 tournament in Miami (Florida, USA). Last night, she beat the Greek Maria Sakkari (number 9 in the world rankings).
The tennis players spent 2 hours and 48 minutes on the court and the match ended in three sets with a score of 7:5, 6:7 (4-7), 6:4 in favor of Rybakina.
During the match, Elena completed eight aces, made five errors on her serve and converted five break points out of 16 possible. Sakkari had four missed serves, eight double faults and three breaks on eight break points.
In the semifinals of the tournament in Miami, Elena Rybakina will meet former world number one Victoria Azarenka of Belarus. Note that in 2023, Rybakina reached the final of the tournament in Florida, where she lost to the Czech Petra Kvitova.
