Series, films and singers: what was watched and listened to the most on flights in high season

As LATAM has found, when it comes to movies and series, air passengers’ preferences seem to be the same as those on land.

For many people, summer is the ideal time to break away from routine and take a flight to a special destination, whether in the same country or abroad.

In the case of LATAM nearly 13.5 million people traveled between January and February on national and international roads.

And to entertain its passengers on the plane, the company provides the service LATAM game which has alliances with various streaming platforms such as Paramount+, HBO Max and Disney+.

In the catalog it is possible to find more than 170 films, 550 series episodes, 1,000 songs and even content for children and readings. As the company indicates, the average time spent on the platform is 1,000 hours for each flight.

On the cinema side, passengers’ preferences seem to be the same as on the ground. The above, given that Oppenheimer managed to position itself as the most watched feature film on all platforms during LATAM’s peak season flights.

From LATAM they also discovered which artists were most listened to by those who traveled between January and February. Here are the top ten:

  8. BB King and Eric Clapton

Jaime Cornejo, head of design and development of LATAM cabins, said in a statement that the goal is for travelers to have “a unique experience” with these contents.

“Our offering allows passengers to choose what they want to watch or listen to from a vast catalog including more than 170 films, nearly 550 episodes of television shows and 100 music albums. All this has allowed us to be recognized as the best airline in South America for in-flight entertainment by APEX, where passengers from more than 600 airlines voted,” concluded Cornejo.
