The Ukrainian lost the first set 0:6
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya made it to the main draw of the tournament WTA 250 in Bogota (Colombia).
In the qualifying final, Zavatskaya beat Elvina Kalieva, who competes under the US flag, in a strong-willed manner. The fight lasted just over two hours.
In the first set, Katarina did not win a single game – 0:6. In the second game, the Ukrainian gave her opponent two more games on her serve, but made three breaks in response – 6:3. In the decisive set, Zavatskaya put the finishing touches on 20-year-old Kalieva – 6:3.
Let us remind you that at the start of the qualification, Zavatskaya defeated the representative of Mexico, Victoria Rodriguez – 6:1, 7:5.
Another representative of Ukraine, Yulia Starodubtseva, will perform in the main draw of the tournament in Bogota.
