They are the leaders of the WTA circuit and it is interesting to note that the tennis players are no older than 25 years old. Sabalenka is the oldest, she is only 25 years old, Rybakina 24 years old, Szwiatek 22 years old, Gauff 20 years old. But which of the even younger talents can challenge them in the future? Let’s identify the three most promising tennis players who are not yet 20 years old.

Ashlyne Kruger

Ashlyn Kruger has been turning heads since her arrival on the women’s circuit. In addition to two titles at the ITF level, she won her first title at the Japan Women’s Open last year. The American also reached the quarter-finals of the 2023 Libema Open.

At just 19 years old, Kruger is progressing quickly on the WTA Tour. Her results this year were not as brilliant, but she managed to enter the main draw of three WTA tournaments. Koyuger achieved significant victories over such famous tennis players as Lucia Bronzetti, Bernarda Pera, Yue Yuan and Caroline Garcia.

Kruger was not in the top 150 in 2022 but is currently ranked 73rd in the world according to the latest WTA rankings.

Mirra Andreeva

Mirra Andreeva is one of the most talented tennis players today. At the age of 16, she attracted the attention of sports fans and critics around the world with her impressive performances and maturity.

Over the past three years, the Russian has won six titles at the ITF level. Turning professional in 2022, she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon 2023 and the 2024 Australian Open. Andreeva also reached the third round at Roland Garros 2023.

Mirra is slowly emerging as a serious contender on the WTA Tour and has made a promising start to 2024. Andreeva already has 6 wins in 10 matches, including a quarter-final appearance at the Brisbane International.

Recent wins over Barbora Krejcikova and Ons Jabeur highlight her potential. In the future, she is capable of achieving huge success in women’s tennis. She now occupies 38th place in the WTA rankings.

Linda Noskova

Linda Noskova has been making waves on the women’s circuit since turning professional in 2020. She has six titles to her name at the ITF level and was a runner-up at the 2023 Adelaide International and the 2023 Prague Open .

The Czech started the new season brilliantly, winning 12 times in 17 matches (including the playoffs) and reaching the quarter-finals of the Australian Open. She also reached the semi-finals of the Brisbane International and the third round of the Qatar Open.

Noskova was sensationally knocked out by Iga Swiatek in Melbourne. Her recent victory over former world number three Maria Sakkari in Qatar further highlights her potential and abilities.

Noskova, 19, was not among the top 250 athletes in 2021 but is currently ranked 29th in the world according to the latest WTA rankings.
