Athletistic/Tennis. At the WTA-250 tournament in Rouen (France), 16-year-old Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva, ranked 43rd in the world rankings, qualified for the second round. The tournament prize pool amounted to more than 232 thousand euros.

In her first match, Andreeva defeated the 65th Argentine world racket Nadia Podoroscu, with a score of 6:1, 6:3.

Andreeva’s meeting with Podoroska lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. During the match, Andreeva served twice, did not commit a single double fault and converted five break points out of a possible eight.

Mirra Andreeva’s next opponent in Rouen will be the winner of the match between Russian Elina Avanesyan and French Fiona Ferro.
