Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva spoke about the collaboration with the Spanish specialist Conchita Martinez.
Andreeva started working with Martinez a few weeks ago. On Monday, Andreeva qualified for the second round of the WTA 250 tournament in Rouen (France), beating Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska.
– So far, so good. I love it (the collaboration) and I hope she does too. We’ll see how everything goes, then we’ll decide which tournaments to hold next. I can’t say that there are particular aspects that we are working on. But the first thing we trained was the cut kick. She explained several techniques to me and I try to use them when I have time and a good opportunity on the court,” Andreeva was quoted as saying by the WTA press service.
In the second round, Mirra Andreeva will play with the winner of the pair Fiona Ferro (France, Q) – Elina Avanesyan (Russia).
