Ukrainian tennis player Nadezhda Kichenok lost in the first round of the doubles tournament WTA 500 in German Stuttgart.
Nadezhda performed together with Shuko Aoyama from Japan. The duo received the third seed. In the first round, the pair lost to the tandem of Paola Badosa (Spain) / Ons Jabeur (Tunisia).
The first set was left to Kichenok and Aoyama. In the second game, the Ukrainian and Japanese led with a break 4:3, but could not maintain their advantage and lost 5:7. In the super tiebreaker, Badosa and Jabeur were stronger.
