Katerina beat ex-Ukrainian Zanevskaya in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Beindl made it to the second round of the series tournament WTA 250 in Warsaw.
In the first round match, Beindl defeated the ex-Ukrainian in straight sets. Marina Zanevskayawho currently represents Belgium.
The duel between Beindl and Zanevskaya started yesterday, but was interrupted due to rain with the score 6:3, 3:1 in favor of Katerina. Today the match resumed, and the Ukrainian brought the second game to victory – 6:3.
In the 1/8 finals Beindl will play against the winner of the match Sara Errani (Italy) – Arancia Rus (Netherlands).
Recall that Beindl lost to Jessica Malechkova in the final qualification of the tournament in Warsaw. The Ukrainian got into the main draw of the competition in the status of a lucky loser.
