Athletistic/Tennis. Russian Tennis Federation chief Shamil Tarpishchev believes that Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev is capable of surpassing the achievements of Boris Becker and Andy Roddick in terms of number of weeks on the top row of the world rankings.

At the moment, Medvedev is already in his tenth week as the world’s first racket, which is already a record for Russia. Previously, the best result of Russian tennis players was nine weeks on the front row. Shamil Tarpishchev believes Medvedev will go further and cost Becker (12 weeks) and Roddick (13 weeks).

“I think Daniil will bypass them. The situation is favorable there. We must congratulate Medvedev on such an achievement, because he is the first in Russia in this indicator,” Tarpishchev said.
