Australian tennis player assault court hearing Nika Kiriosa about an ex-girlfriend postponed for three weeks, according to AP.
The incident happened in December 2021. Details of what happened have not been specified. The hearing in the 27-year-old’s case was due to take place in Canberra on August 2, but court officials said the meeting had been rescheduled for August 23. It is specified that the personal presence of a tennis player is optional.
According to the plan, Kyrios is to perform at the tournament in Cincinnati (USA), which begins on August 14, after which – at the US Open, starting on August 29.
Earlier, the Australian said his lawyers have been advised not to comment on the upcoming case.
Kyrios is ranked 47th in the ATP rankings.
