Iga’s second consecutive victory over Arina in the final of the WTA 1000 series tournament
Polish tennis player Iga Šwiętek won a convincing victory over a “neutral” opponent Arina Sabalenko in the final of the tournament WTA 1000 V Rome.
The first racket of the world had no problems against her opponent from the second line of the ranking. The two-set match lasted exactly an hour and a half.
In the first game, Szwiatek realized a break twice, taking all her serves. In the second game, the Polish athlete met more serious resistance, but, starting with the score 3:3, she again beat her opponent twice on her serve.
The Polish tennis player, having won her 12th match in a row, won the second thousandth tournament in a row this year. Let us remember that on May 4, Iga triumphed in Madrid, and in that final she also beat Sabalenka, although she spent much more effort.
Swiatek won her ninth final in a row. She became a three-time winner of Rome and at the same time won her tenth anniversary trophy in the WTA 1000 series.
