Russian Diane Schneider rose from 62nd to 47th place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s website.
The day before, Schneider, 20, had beaten the American Emma Navarro in the final of the WTA 125 tournament in Paris. Schneider entered the top 50 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career.
The best position among Russian tennis players is occupied by Daria Kasatkina (11th). The ranking is still headed by the Polish Iga Szwiatek, the second is the representative of Belarus Arina Soboleva, and the American Cori Gauff closes the top three.
