Paired with Japanese Aoyama, the Ukrainian lost to the American-Indonesian duo
Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok in tandem with a Japanese woman Shuko Aoyama lost in the first round of the tournament’s doubles main draw WTA 500 in French Strasbourg.
The Ukrainian-Japanese pair, who received the third seeding, lost in a fierce battle to the tandem of Eisha Muhammad / Aldila Sutjiadi, who represented the USA and Indonesia, respectively.
In the first set, Lyudmila and Syuko lost two of their serves to their opponents, and in return they converted only one break point. In the second game, Kichenok and Aoyama also lost 2:4 and 3:5, but managed to win back and bring the matter to a tiebreaker. And already there the duo from the USA and Indonesia was stronger – 7:2.
