Russian tennis player Yulia Avdeeva reached the qualifying final of Roland-Garros.
In the second round, Avdeeva, ranked 188th in the WTA rankings, defeated Frenchwoman Margot Rouvroy with a score of 6:2, 6:3. The meeting lasted a little over an hour.
To advance to the main draw of the tournament, Avdeeva will face the winner of the match between Solana Sierra (Argentina) and Olivia Gadecki (Australia).
The Russians also reached the qualifying finals Anastasia Zakharova And Oksana Selekhmetieva .
Selekhmetyeva beat Ukrainian Daria Snigur (6:2, 6:3) and will now meet American Katie Volynets. Zakharova beat Slovenia’s Dalila Jakupovic (6:4, 6:2) and will face Germany’s Eva Lis in the final.
Russian Anastasia Tikhonova lost to Hungarian Dalma Galfi in the second round – 3:6, 1:6.
Roland Garros takes place in Paris from May 20 to June 9.
