Prime Video reveals official trailer and key images for documentary Federer: The Last 12 Days

Prime Video has shared the official trailer and keyframes for Federer: The last 12 days. The documentary film will premiere on June 20, exclusively on Prime Video, in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The film will also have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Monday, June 10 in New York.

Under the direction of Asif Kapadia, Oscar winner in 2016 for Amy (documentary on Amy Winehouse), and Joe Sabia, Federer: Last 12 days It is an intimate journey that accompanies Roger Federer during the last 12 days of his illustrious career, as detailed in a press release.

The film – which was originally filmed for personal use and not intended for public viewing – shows Federer at his most vulnerable and heartfelt, as he bids farewell to the sport and the fans who shaped his life over the past two years. His images were eloquent when he had to say goodbye to his lifelong habitat.

“Featuring interviews with legendary friends and rivals such as Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, Federer: Last 12 days offers unprecedented access to the relationship between these unrivaled stars,” the text reads.

Presented by Prime Video Sports, Federer: Last 12 days is a production of Lafcadia Productions. The film is produced by Asif Kapadia and George Chignell and directed by Kapadia and Joe Sabia.

Customers will be able to see Federer: Last 12 days in the Prime Video application for Smart TV and mobile devices, on three simultaneous screens, as well as via an Entel, WOM or Movistar mobile or fixed Internet subscription, as well as via certain VTR subscriptions.
